Neteller Credit Checks

Hi all,

I have had a mortgage approved and near sign off. I needed to pay for something via Neteller.

There are numerous searches now appearing on my credit report - identity check for money laundering purposes. Is this visible to other lenders? I was worried it could derail my mortgage application.

Am I worrying unnecessarily? 

I know people say do not open any new accounts, but Neteller is just an e-wallet service for paying and receiving money.

They’re probably from the broker/lender for your mortgage

D3 is likely to be right. But I think Neteller are a company, having a "Net" card which would require credit history checks. It is also used a lot for online gambling so might attract more scrutiny of your credit history. I'm probably just being a "damp squib" but it's best to consider every possibility. The good news seems to be that Neteller are quite reputable and so you should not worry unnecessarily  about the searches which are now appearing.

The searches are on Equifax by a company called Paysafe 360 Bulgaria Eood.

This appears to be the parent company of Neteller and it says Identity check to comply with anti money laundering regulations.

Is this visible to others?
