Hi, I'm looking for a little advice, as not being able to get out of the country this year comes with the added bonus of being able to grow some basic veg. I had bought some plant haloes a few years ago, so Ive now got an extra deep growbag, and space in it for three tomato plants. Is it only tomatoes that I could grow in that growbag, or is there another crop that could be mixed? I've also got packets of parsley seed for successive sowing but not much idea of the best way, or the type of containers to plant parsley in.

Parsley can be abugger to germinate. As long as you cut around the main stem it'll keep coming back, if it's curly it's perennial so any pot that you can keep it in or keep moist.. You could grow a cucumber in the grow bag as well as a couple of tomatoes, any variety you like or can get hold of really. You might get away with some radishes or spring onions in the top of the halo while the tomatoes are still growing big and strong but those bags are designed for three plants usually for the nutirent level. DOnt cut holes in the bottom, silce little holes at the sides about a third of the way up, then there's not so much worry about watering. Also, you could use the haloes when they're flat but you could have turned the bag on it's edge and planted in that way. Dont forget you'll need supports for the tomatoes.

Thanks for this. One parsley is giant curly the other flat leaved.I don't understand the comment though about turning the bag on its edge 🤔

The bags are sold flat like this _ what I'm saying is turn it so one long edge is on the floor, the other long edge is pointing up, gives you a deeper run for the roots, like this, but bang it down a bit so it becomes fatter not thinner.
