Crazy car insurance

Hi
I have been getting prepared for when my car insurance needs renewing in August, and checking price comparison sites. When I put in my current address the new quote is coming back around £800pa, which is fine (just got out of the under 25 bracket). However we will be moving about a mile down the road by the time my policy is up for renewal. When I put in this new address, the quotes are coming back at a minimum of £1,400 a year! Our car is only worth £5,000! Just very confused about this quote and the decision making behind it. We have checked crime maps and there is more crime in our current area (for which we were quoted £800) than in our new area (quoted £1,400). This quote is more then I have paid for this last year, and I was under 25 and in my first year of driving! Has anyone got any ideas why there is such a hike in price for a mile down the road or any tips for getting this down? Thanks

Don't move/move to different area or make sure you do all comparison sites0

Have you tried another company?
Maybe all your new neighbours are terrible drivers and keep hitting each other, so the insurance companies think it’s a bad area.
