New build management fees

We have lived in our house just over two years. When we brought it we were told about a yearly management fee. They said we would get some communication through about paying it once the site had been finished. Which it now is. We have never received a bill asking to pay. All we have received is a orbit card which is to be used to make paying “rent or anything else” easier. Nowhere in that letter does it mention a bill so we kind of just left it thinking we will use it when we get one. Our neighbours have been paying the management fees as they have mentioned it. What do we do? Do we call up the company and ask or just wait to see if a bill comes through? We would like to move in 9-12 months so I would hate for us to move and then get a unexpected bill.

thanks

I’d call and ask. You don’t want them to realise in 10 years time and then serve you a massive bill. If you were to say it was news to you that would be a lie.
