Will new employment affect self employment help?

Hello
My partner is a self employed agency chef and has been since July 2018. He paid his first tax bill in January.
Right now he has no work, and is getting very frustrated. He has been looking at factory work etc to get some money coming in.
My concern is that if he gets a job, and goes on to the PAYE system, he won't get any help with the self employment grant in June.
The wage he would get from these types of jobs is less that what he would get from the government, so I'm just worried that by becoming employed now he will be in a worse situation than not doing anything.
We haven't yet received anything to say he would be eligible. Should we be expecting something?
Thanks in advance!

It won't affect his grant providing he continues to be self employed in 20/21. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/claim-a-grant-through-the-coronavirus-covid-19-self-employment-income-support-scheme

He has been right up until the lockdown.poppy12345 said:It won't affect his grant providing he continues to be self employed in 20/21.
As soon as this is all over he will be straight back in to self employment.
How can they know this though?0 -
That's a question we can't answer. We don't know exactly how the grant will be administered and what questions the government will be asking of those who claim.Kelsfvn said: He has been right up until the lockdown. As soon as this is all over he will be straight back in to self employment.
How can they know this though?Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
