cancelled flights but no refund from airport car park

We booked flights to Romania but these were cancelled recently.  We also booked a car park space at Luton Airport via Looking 4 Parking.  Looking 4 Parking will not give us a refund saying we should speak to Luton Airport.  Luton Airport have referred us back to Looking 4 Parking saying they cannot help.  Neither is taking responsibility.  Do we have any rights please?

You booked through an agent so the airport themselves don't have to deal with you.  If Looking 4 Parking's terms are that they don't offer refunds if you booked a non-refundable deal, then that's it.  I assume they still provided the service, i.e. was the car park available to use?  If so, then it was your decision not to attend so no refund is due.

Thank you.  This seems a little unfair as we had no choice when our flights were cancelled.  Also this would have deemed to have been non-essential travel which is banned by the government.  We should not be penalised for following the rules.  We would have accepted a voucher as we use this airport often.

I take it you made a non-refundable booking?  In future, pay a bit more for flexibility and book directly with the proper airport parking.  You could have cancelled and had a refund if you did.  That't the risk you take when trying to find the cheapest available rate.
