When does CapitalOne report to credit agencies?

Options
I'm about to recieve my first Credit card (Capital One Classic) and am planning to use it to boost my credit score (I know the score itself is just an indicator in my ability to get credit).  I've seen some US based youtubers suggesting that you should find out when your credit card company sends it's report to credit agencies so that you can pay off your balance before/on this date so that your utilization rate is lower.  I was originally planning on just using ~10-20% of my credit limit per month and paying it off in full via direct debit, to try and improve my credit...

There's a chance Capital One may be able to tell you, but it's unlikely their front line staff will know the reporting date of your particular account.

But either way, it doesn't matter.  Just clear in full and don't worry about messing around with utilisation as it doesn't matter.

As zx81 has said don't worry about utilisation rate as long as the balance is paid in full it won't matter. As for reporting date I don't think they will be able to tell you.  Mine has always been updated on the last day of the month and i've had it for a very longtime and was used as my first credit card to build some credit history, its now my longest credit account.
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both.
