Refund and Cashback?

I got a refund of £2500 for my cancelled holiday back onto my Nationwide Select Credit Card.
Do I still get to keep my £6.50 cashback?

I know Amex would reverse the cashback when they process a refund - I expect Nationwide would do the same

  • I have two refunds on my Nationwide card (total £99), however, my statement is not produced until 14 May 2020, so I won't know any change in my cashback until then. At 0.25% (I think), I doubt I will notice it anyway!

On £2,500, you may well see if there is any difference! Fingers crossed you get to keep it.

As MallyGirl stated, Amex claim their cashback back. Three refunds, three deductions, so far.

tongue in cheek could them taking the cashback back be a consequential loss off a consequential gain that you had spent ? lol

Surely they'll take it back.  If not you could buy loads of clothes etc every month and return them for a refund banking the cashback.

That would be one way to make 0.25% on your cash.

Not as bad as it sounds, doing it even once a month would mean 3% over a year, and you could probably do it more than once a month if it worked.
