Just to say that in my case it took 24 hours for Vanquis to send the email to acknowledge that I'd authenticated my nominated account - note that any monies deposited before this email is sent will be returned to the nominated account.

This is all a bit confusing! After opening the EA account recently as a new customer, I received a letter about a week (actually only a few days) later containing my online User ID. The letter also mentioned that I should use the nominated account authorisation code "below in the letter". There wasn't a code!

I decided to ring Vanquis and was told it would arrive in a separate letter. This slightly annoyed me as I had moved my intended deposit out of a savings account (paying less than Vanquis's EA) into a current account and I mentioned that it was sat there earning no interest waiting for the authorisation code to make the deposit. I was told that I did not have to wait and I could have made a deposit immediately after opening the account! 

I was asked if I wish to have this delay logged as "Feedback" and I said it would be better as a "Complaint". Bottom line is ..... a week later I got a letter apologising, it confirmed that the wait to make a deposit was not needed, and would I like to accept £50 as compensation!

Sent deposit this morning to Vanquis savings and it was showing in my account by 2.30pm,

30mins ago I sent a deposit to Vanquis and just now got an email saying deposit received and credited.

I received an email saying that the interest on my 5 year bond was 1% and that ISAs were paying up to 5%. When I tried to transfer from the bond to an ISA online there was no provision to transfer bonds to ISAs. I phoned them but after a 45 minute wait pressed the button for a return call. I am still waiting 45 minutes later. I emailed them 7 days ago and am still waiting for a reply. Today is the last day for this year’s ISA allowance.
This company pays competitive interest rates but it’s customer service is lousy.

The suspicion is that they're snowed under. I initiated a transfer to them over a week ago and have heard nothing.

I see they've dropped their 1 year ISA fix from 4.51% to 4.42%.
