Customer update

Confirmation of changes to pricing from 2nd May 2020

Good Morning,

As you may recall from our March email, our annual price increase was due to be implemented on Saturday 28th March. However, in support of our consumer senders, micro-businesses and market-place sellers during this uncertain period, we deferred the changes to Saturday 2nd May subject to review.

Since then, our costs have increased as we ensure the safe delivery of exceptionally high parcel volumes, which means that we are unable to delay the annual price increase any longer. The planned change, an average of 3% across our ParcelShop and Courier services, will come into effect from midnight on Saturday 2nd May and our new prices are detailed in the table below.

    Any idea about the print in store prices?   They were different from the parcel drop off prices.  If anyone does find out the new print in store prices, please post them here.

    I can never find the prices myself, the last time I asked someone on here took a photo of the terminator when they went to drop off a parcel.

    😳. Since I upgraded the system on my iPad to make this site usable I am posting more and more rubbish auto correct errors. Sometimes I can’t even work out what I meant to say, I still find the print difficult to read so don’t even spot them before I post.

    I think we are getting muddled again with terminology. There is a special service that is only available in store , it is not connected to the online prices, you buy it at the terminal and pay with card. From memory it was around £6.50 when someone posted the photo .  When it was launched it was brilliant , it was something like £2.60 for up to 5kg for any size, then the price started to creep up, the size got smaller and smaller. Last time I tried to use it which was probably January or early February it was dearer than the online price for the same parcel. I checked the price at the shop, took the parcel home again and printed the usual online label and saved about £1.

    OK I’ve found this ;
    https://www.myhermes.co.uk/pay-and-print.html

    Where it says for £4 which if right makes it cheaper than it used to be. I’ve noticed The price seems to move a lot though depending on when you check the website.
