Morning everyone
Seem to had a slow start to the day - I've been waking up this week feeling quite fed up. My mood does improve later in the day when I sit out in the sun. Yesterday I did loads of work in the back garden.....still have a few bits to do. I'm trying to spread the jobs out!
DD has just sent me a couple of cute videos of little grand daughter - in one she's trying to stand by herself and in the other she's saying 'mam mam mam.' The community nurse is going to check on her today - DD says her tummy is healing really well and she's having no problems with her feeding - so that's all good.
I'm going to walk down to my mam and dad's and sit outside with them for a little while. Dad asked me yesterday if I thought he'll ever be allowed to go for his coffee again. Bless him he only goes to m and s café which is about 15 minutes away in his electric wheelchair and he is missing it so much.
Well. hope you all have a good day

Good morning everyone
It's another sunny lovely morning here, it really helps my mood to see the sunshine even if I won't go out in it. I have had a scary few days with my mum ringing me to say she had to go into hospital for tests and possibly surgery as she has been feeling so unwell. I was panicking and very upset but Hallelujah! she has been released back into the community with extra meds but no signs of cancer. She was so relieved and talked to me quickly before she went off for some tea and toast. I was thinking the worst and now it's like a shadow has been lifted. Me and my mum have not always got on and indeed we were estranged for a number of years but we have both worked hard on our relationship and I love her so much.
I have ordered more wool and pattern books as even though I said I would not hoard supplies again after last time, I keep seeing patterns that I want to make and it is keeping me occupied during this lockdown. Steve just rolls his eyes and tells me he loves me anyway
. Fortunately I have a lot of nieces and nephews who love knitted toys from me so I can easily find homes for them.
Tonight we are going to have a chicken and leek pie for dinner but with a mash lid instead of pastry as the spuds had started sprouting so Steve peeled them all and cooked them last night. We are trying very hard not to waste food so are being inventive with leftovers. Thankfully there are lots of recipes around to help.
Right, I am off to look through my patterns to decide what to knit next. I am so glad to see Ruby recovering from her op. Great news about dp1's granddaughter too. Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx

Afternoon folks. Sad news for us earlier. DD got the devastating news this morning that her SIL had died, with, suspected Covid. She was 35. That is no age is it. She had felt a bit unwell for 3 days but not ill enough to ring 111 or GP.. Got out of bed this morning at 7.30 and collapsed on the floor. Her husband rang 999 and the paramedics tried to revive her but couldn't. The family are in total shock. DD has been speaking to ex MIL and she says she was so calm about it all she thinks it obviously hasn't sunk in with her.yet. .DD and SIL had last been speaking on Sunday (Face timing for 2 hours from their respective gardens) and she was her normal cheerful self. I haven't been able to stop thinking about them all since DD rang me. I know this is happening in far too many families just now but when it hits so close to home it's frightening.
I have been trying to sit outside reading but my mind won't keep on my book. Glad it was better news for you and your DM DUMPLING. Take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"8 -
Oh, TA. That is dreadful. So young, and to take hold so quickly. It must be such a shock to the whole family. My thoughts are with you.7
