Planting potted bulbs outside

Yes, of course, but they may take a year or two to give of their best....or worst! It sometimes helps to know what they looked like when in flower. We were given some unknown variety of daffs and innocently planted them in some natural woodland we'd recently created. They didn't bloom the first spring afterwards, but this year they have in all their hideous double-flowered glory, out of keeping with the surroundings. Thank God the badgers dug quite a few of them up!1

Keep them fed and watered until the foliage dies down as the leaves feed the bulb for next year.

They are labelled with pictures so I know what they will look like. Thankfully nothing offensive0
