Has anyone here returned anything to Amazon during the current lockdown?

I've got an item I want to return and got the following options to choose from but not sure which is the best in the current climate. The options are Hermes drop off (with or without label printing), Royal Mail drop off with label printing (limited to post offices that do this, probably just local DO at the moment) or Hermes Collection. There's also a few local collect options but I don't know if they're going to be open or not.

Thanks

I've recently sent a couple of items back via Hermes collection. They collected next working day and each refund took about 10 calendar days to arrive back in my account. Pretty good I think.

How did that work in terms of social distancing?

You can leave instructions that the courier receives telling them the parcel will be left outside

I suspect it will be done in a similar way to their deliveries. My local Hermes ladies ring/knock, place package/parcel at front door then walk away.  Open front door, acknowledge delivery say thanks then take parcel inside. If nobody comes to the door after a sensible time they take the parcel away or leave in a safeplace after leaving a card.
No doubt collections are achieved in the same way - in reverse!

I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow (or maybe Monday) when they come to collect it.

Sorry, missed this - I leave by the front door and they collect. It's a very good service, the Hermes person does Next and a few other retailers too and is very reliable.

Just an update. The Hermes delivery guy came round the next day and collected it, I left it on the front step and stepped away whilst he scanned it, no issues at all. The only downside is that, unlike deliveries, they don't give an indication of when they'll be coming to collect so I had to hang around inside all day until he came early evening.
