Hi,

We had booked flights to Canada (Outbound 1st June, Inbound 15th June). The airline (WestJet) has cancelled our flights and issued us with travel credit (We booked through Expedia). However, we are after a cash refund. Can anyone advise whether this is possible please? We also have a travel insurance policy- would we be able to claim a cash refund through this if we can’t through Expedia/WestJet?

Thanks!

Probably not possible for a long time and no, your insurance won't pay out because you've been offered credit.

If you paid by credit card you could  put in a Section 75 claim, failing this an insurance claim.
Trouble with a voucher  it's just an IOU,  and might end up not be worth the paper it's written on.
New User name as MSE gave me a number in my old one.
