Travel Insurance & Holiday Vouchers

Hi,
As with many people our summer holiday has been cancelled and we are faced with the prospect of 100% refund or 125% value voucher for our holiday this summer,
Only issue being is if the company goes bust the vouchers will be worthless.
We have travel insurance in place however does travel insurance cover the value of a voucher if a travel company goes under??

Have you read the abta article about RCNs ?
The only unprotected part is the 25% extra , the rest can be claimed back as cash down the line.
About half way down

The OP says he has been offered a voucher. A voucher is not the same as a RCN. Vouchers are not protected.
I think you will find your travel insurance will not cover you once you accept a voucher. Phone them and ask them.0 -
It could just be inaccurate use of language. Some people are calling them refund vouchers.1
