New Amazon scam

Options
I received two emails from Amazon confirming orders I did not make. Assuming they were junk, I just deleted them. However, these items then arrived, I was charged for them and a day later, was told I had posted reviews (5*) for said items. I have read about the ‘brushing’ scams, but on this occasion my credit card was actually charged. There is no order history on my amazon account (although it informed it these item had arrived), but apart from this there is no evidence I purchased it. These items are completely random and not in my search history.

I have obviously cancelled my credit card and changed amazon passwords, but can’t actually speak to anyone and their auto email is most unhelpful.

Anyone else had the same experience?

What does your credit card company say?

Sounds like someone has set up another amazon account using your CC details, but hoped to intercept the packages before delivery.
Just to check, you do not have any family/friend that may have had you card details on their account to pay for things previously ordered?

Are you sure they haven't been "hidden" from your sales history? It is possible for a user to hide (not delete) their purchase history.  Check your account "archive" for these items.  If not check the Amazon account number on the notification you received. You can also check in your "Message Centre" for  copies of any E-Mails Amazon has sent you.

I can't see what potential there is for profit in making random purchases on your account and then having them delivered to your own home and charged to your own credit card?

In addition this sounds more like you've been hacked rather than it being any kind of  scam. Could your account have been compromised by someone simply wishing to cause you distress?

The fact that the OP received E-Mail notification of these sales makes your scenario unlikely. Would someone opening a new account use the same E-mail as the customer they were hacking?

Which brings the 2nd point in to play.

Well, perhaps, but the customer is given advance warning by E-Mail not just of delivery but also of initial purchase..

I hope the OP returns to explain this...
