Distribution of Monies

4 month ago I received a letter from the solicitor to advise me that monies from my late fathers estate was ready distributed between myself and two other siblings. My sister and I visited the solicitor office and gave the solicitor our bank details account for the monies to paid. However the executor of the will has not return the signed Estate Accounts to allow the distribution of the late father's estate. I have contacted the solicitor for a update and asked if the wait could be indefinitely? 
The executor has caused delays with probate and I determined that my sister and I do not receive anything from my late father's will. 
What can I be done get this case settled ? So we can all move on.

Your estranged sister is the executor of the estate but a solicitor is in control of the distribution of the assets?

Your estranged sister engaged the solicitor?

The solicitor contacted you on behalf of your sister?

The solicitor has requested the estate accounts from your  sister?

Yes my estranged sister is the executor of the will. Solicitor is in control of the assets/monies

Estranged sister no answering phone call or responded to letters from the solicitor

The solicitor did the my father's will and probate.

The solicitor wrote to sister requesting her to sign and return estate accounts.

Was a long delay because of DWP. December 2019 i received a letter confirming my late father did not owe any money and the monies from his estate was ready to be distributed.

Solicitor response to an email from me. I am still waiting for your sister to return the signed Estate Accounts to allow me to proceed with the distributing of your father's estate.

 Before his death, all your father's assets were held on his behalf by the solicitor who drafted his will?

The will named your estranged sister as sole executor?

When your father died, your sister asked the solicitor to deal with obtaining probate?

The solicitor has obtained probate, drawn up a schedule of the assets/liabilities of the estate and sent this to your sister?

He now requires her to acknowledge receipt and authorise him to distribute the assets to you, your other sister and to her?

If there is no response from your estranged sister, you and your other sister may need to engage your own solicitor (one experienced in contentious probate perhaps) with a view to removing and substituting the executor?

Ask for an interim distribution. At least that way you'll have some money to be going on with while you sister faffs around.

But the executor (the sister apparently, not the solicitor), would have to authorise this?

And the sister (executor) is not responding to the solicitor (who apparently holds the assets)?
