I've been advised to apply for a dro but need to sell my car as it's worth a little more then a 1000 pounds, can I sell and stay as the registered keeper so I can drive the person to places they need to get to as they dont drive! I've been told I can and then told I cant from different people!!

I don't  know the rules, but if you do as suggested, questions will be asked about whether the money you got was at fair market value and certainly you will be asked what you have spent that money on.

There could also perhaps be questions around maintenance costs, ie should you be paying for the maintenance of a car owned by someone else

not sure how and when you got car valued, but the way the economy is going it’s value is probably dropping
