I'm just waiting for them to then increase premiums to claw it back.
It's almost inevitable that all Insurers will increase their premiums, it always happens in a recession as most Insurers lose money on premiums received / claims paid out. They make their money on investing the money and during a recession their investment returns reduce.
It happens whenever their is a recession
Given how quiet the roads are then I would expect the number of accidents to fall drastically and therefore the number of claims fall.  Is that too naive/simple

Yes that is too naïve and simple, a publicity stunt perhaps?

Hope Swiftcover do a little refund too that will be great.
I also think home insurance should get a discount too seeing as we are all at home 24/7 so less chance of burglars.

But more chance of claiming on accidental cover and incidents in the home.

Haha I know someone would say that. Well I'm hardcore I just have normal home insurance because I don't have accidents at home.

Some have taken the time at home to carry out DIY, often a recipe for disaster for the inexperienced.
That said Admiral do buildings and contents insurance.....
  • I pay about £200 a year fully comp, so £25 is 12.5% discount for me. I also took advantage of the £20 Texaco fuel voucher when I took out the policy last year with Confused.com
On the downside, my employer canned me until further notice without pay.

I'm on furlough leave with full pay until end of May then 80%-only if we are still in lockdown. Chances are I could be canned when we eventually do go back as I expect a massive downturn in work. Apparently they canned a lot of people back in the credit crunch days due to the same reason but that was before I worked there.
So as much money I can get to claw back now the better.
  • Received Admiral confirmation of refund (£25 each) as we have a multicar policy.  Excellent Customer Service.
