Thank you all for your advice. I will inform the credit card companies and the bank. And fingers crossed they don't try and come after me.

And fingers crossed they don't try and come after me.Unless there is money left after the funeral has been paid for, which would have to be used towards paying debts in a strict pecking order, they will have no reason to 'come after you' as you are not personally liable.That's not to say they won't try it on, though. If that happens just keep repeating that the estate is insolvent.
