Trying to get a refund from Netflights

We booked 5 non refundable flights books from London to San Fransciso with Delta / Virgin airlines using Netflights.com flying out on the 26th March. These were of course made void by the corona Virus outbreak, we approached Netflights about a refund but they said  "Nothing to do with us" you will need to claim of your holiday insurance or credit card company, So is this the case or should I pursue netflights for the money. Our Insurance excess is £100 so I would prefer to get the refund from netflights?

thanks in advance

That's incorrect if it was I would be a millionaire

I would set up a company sell thousands of flight, then cancel them,  and refuse to give the money back as they are "non-refundable"
(Actually I wouldn't,  but needed to make the point.)

I think it depend on whether the airline cancelled the flights (airline is responsible to refund/credit via Netflights) or if you decided not to travel (perhaps because of the FCO or US authorities travel restrictions/advisories) but the flights still operated (in this case an insurance claim).  More information required from you.

I agree, more info is needed, what did you mean by "made void"
(I took it as didn't fly)

In that case your are due a refund from netflights , the airlines will not deal directly with you.

I misunderstood your first post as you failing to turn up for the flights so were a "no show"

    Apologies

Seems at odds with Netflights own advice on their site: https://www.netflights.com/information/important

They say are are processing refunds where the airline have cancelled flights, and people will get their money back, even though their are delays .  They also have advice by airline, which for Virgin states you can get a rebooking for a refund (with refunds taking upto 100 days) for Delta it says you can rebook, get eCredit or in "some instances" get a refund.  It will depend whether your flights were ticketed by Virgin or Delta as to which airline's policy applies.

If you feel you been waiting too long, try your card company.

Yes good idea except Netflights are REFUSING to give any kind of cancellation invoice!! So no travel insurance OR Visa fraud claims available.  These guys are absolute crooks.
