Cheap internal flight LGA to RDU?

Trying to help a friend out with finding a good deal on internal USA flights.

They're looking to travel:

21st July, LGA (La Guardia) to RDU (Raleigh Durham)
6th August, RDU back to LGA.

Not too bothered about time of day (within reason!). Preferably no connections.

Best price we've found so far is $190 per adult, and I've done a pretty good trawl of the internet.

If anyone knows of anything better / good web sites to look at / any relevant sales on at the moment, I'd be most grateful.

Remember that LGA is but one of the many airports serving New York City. Out of those tho it's probably the busiest (for short hop domestic flights) so not going to offer the best deals. Just try every US airline's website you can think of, and key in NYC rather than LGA for the starting point so as to compare all the airports. Some airlines to try are Continental (flying from Newark), Jet Blue (from JFK), Southwest (from some smaller fields around NYC), ATA & Air Tran.

Try hotwire.com. $169 for the dates you posted, although you may have one stop. You don't know until you're well down the booking process. You can also access hotwire thru' Expedia.com

Hi guys, thanks for your replies.

Unfortunately only LGA is any good, as they have no transport and don't want to spend time fretting about public transport to save a few quid!

Already checked out hotwire and was pleased to see the cheaper price BUT then I noticed that you fly ANY TIME during the day, and you don't know the time until after you've paid. They're not willing to take such a gamble - don't think I would either to be fair.

So the hunt is still on...
