I have an HSBC current account, which I have not really used untill recently (joined for the sign on bonus)I mainly use my Natwest account, and if I use the debit card on that anything I buy appears there pretty pronto, at least with in the day.
Last week Friday and Saturday, I bought things on my HSBC debit card, but when I look online, nothing is listed even in the pending area.
For reference purchaseses were made online at RS and instore at Sainsburys. Is such a delay normal? never seen it at Natwest

Yes, it usually takes at least one working day for pending stuff to show0

HSBC don't show pending debit card transactions, only standing orders, direct debits and pending faster payments.
Debit card transactions only appear when completed.
The amount should however come off the available balance straight away.2 -
Thanks for your feedback. I think I may have been spoilt with my Natwest App, just going back to the App It displays my current account amount in large figures, then under it it in smaller font has an available balance which is around £100 less which should equate to the 3 times I used it. in Transactions there is nothing listed after 1st of April. So I have have learned two important things today, HSBC App really is not that great, and I need to go to spec savers. Its a pain that i cannot see pending items. I ordered something on friday that should arrived on saturday. Did not receive it nor any emails about the order or delivery infio(not even in (Spam) so it initially looked like it may have not had processed at all, So now having to guess it did, only by calculations in my head from what I spent in the last 4 days

you may want to consider a second account for spending etc with eg monzo or starling - they have no such thing as pending transactions everything is done in real time

intetesting - all of mine have appeared immediately. well, not on a plane of course - no connectivity0

Connectivity problems are obvious on planes, but they can occur everywhere else, too. Plus, there's the floor limit, which may not always be set to zero, i.e. not all transactions might require authorisation by the bank. Also, some retailers might send their transactions in batches.1
