I am in scotland, not had any involvement with LA since she left school.think im gonna need to get in contact with them to see what help is available.
The HA i rent from is for disabled people so they have carers/home helps work for them. My next door neighbour has learning difficulties as is living alone with there help. Ill contact them ans find out where i go from here.thanks everyone
  • Probably the best idea.

I have a similar problem, 14 year old, 24 year old and me, all autistic.  Obviously I can deal with most things but my older son is quite vulnerable although he doesn't seem like it on the surface.  I've tried to improve things but his coping/financial skills are at a very low level.  Social services, once they discovered he didn't fit into their 'very disabled' box just weren't interested.  Its been my main worry about this coronavirus as I have a number of health issues and the chances are I wouldn't do so well if I got it.  But, lol, you seem to fall through the gaping holes in the net every time you try to speak to someone.

No friends and family so no one that can stand in my stead.  Just have to keep everything tightly crossed that I don't get it. There's nothing else I can do.

I know what you mean, if you look like your coping ok then theres not a lot of help, especially when they are adults as you dont even have the school as a helping hand. I always knew i would have to prepare for me not being around but the covid situation has made it very real. Maybe its a good thing at its gonna give us the kick up the backside to get out affairs in order when this is over with. Stay safe 💚

Good for you thinking ahead, even a bad plan is better than no plan.
