Close a casino account

I’m trying to close an online casino account due to some poor customer service. It’s only something very minor but the way they handled it annoyed me and there’s lots of alternatives out there.
The problem I am having is that they are refusing to let me close the account. They say I can self exclude for up to five years but that is the only option I have.
I would rather not self exclude as this puts me on their database as having a gambling problem. It also appears in five years the account will reopen itself.
Does anyone know how I can actually close the account?

Might help if you said who the casino operator is / which casino. Otherwise any advice can only ever be generic.0

Why do you need to "close" the account? Why not just not log back into it?In any event, the relevant laws will be those of whichever jurisdiction they are based in, which (probably) isn't the UK.0

If possible you should login and remove any payment method from your account. If they say you must have a payment method, try using one of the generic Visa/Mastercard test account numbers and see if that works. That way you (or someone else who might hack it) can't spend any more money in it.3

This might work.
Remove payment.
Set up another email address.
Change your casino password using random generation.
Delete or change password on email.1 -
The simple way is to go to the account and change the password to random letters and numbers which you will soon forget, or get a partner/parent to reset the password.0
