Hi all,
So we reserved a new build in December, everything was on track until lockdown. 3 weeks before we were due to complete/get the keys.
Keys day was meant to be next week but that wont happen until the site opens up again and the plot is finished (in scotland btw)
Anyone else in the limbo position on a new build?

I'm confused - in your last thread you said (on 3 April) "I've been told the housebuilder is pushing to exchange this month" - so did you conclude missives after 3 April? Or had you already concluded missives?

These had already been concluded in march. The completion was due for 24th April and this was what they were pushing on. Last week we were told that it wouldn't be ready and now their solicitors dont have a new date yet.davidmcn said:I'm confused - in your last thread you said (on 3 April) "I've been told the housebuilder is pushing to exchange this month" - so did you conclude missives after 3 April? Ok. Well, if they haven't finished building it yet, not much you can do other than twiddle your thumbs. Do you have a longstop date in your contract? (i.e. entitling you to pull out if they haven't built it by then)
