Asda Poor Service and failure

I am posting this thread here as I feel its placed in the most appropriate section of the forum.

However, if any boardguides feel it's in the wrong part please move it.

I'm not going to post my own experience yet, but I am seeing a high amount of issues raised on social media and Trust Pilot regarding Asda delivering multiple items missing, or at times not even showing up.
The money is taken and people are still waiting weeks for a refund.

So I am starting this thread as it is my intention this week to speak to various agencies as this is wholly unacceptable and as a company that is on the frontline this should not be happening.

If you've had an issue with a delivery or refund can you post it here as I hope this will end up in front of a senior member of Asda staff if enough people post.

Thank you.
Stay safe

Not strictly a Coronavirus issue and may be better in Praise, Vent and Warnings or even Consumer Rights
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

Given its closely connected to the current at risk groups of Covid19, I personally feel this is the best place for it but obviously if the guides feel otherwise happy for it to be moved.

It would affect anyone who is or is not at risk and has not received a delivery or refund from Asda. If I was in such a situation I would not be posting or looking on this board. The vast majority of posts on this board are concerned with employment, furloughing and benefits.

I would think it could go in both, the board is support and help, not just about jobs.

The employees at asda are under huge pressure and risking their health for very little pay. Mistakes may be made and its likely they might take a little longer to rectify given the current situation.

Mistakes happen. Always have always will do. In the greater scheme of things a trivial matter at the current time. We could all spend our time complaining but would do our mental health no good at all. Nor help those still working under enormous pressure and personal risk.

I've had two deliveries since this all started - my wife is on the extremely-vulnerable list - no problems with them, only a couple of minor substitutions - certainly no more than Ocado and Tesco who we also get. Good smiling delivery people.
Pleasantly surprised to find I now get free delivery -  just booked another slot for May.

Well, when you have something to actually talk about other than vague sniping, do come back.
Asda and Tesco have the best availability in my area and are doing really well to minimize substitutes. There'll be no criticism from me of people busting their backsides and risking contact to keep us fed. In my opinion, a very poorly timed post.

Yes this.  I worked for Tesco previously and have friends still there. They are under huge pressure right now. We had a delivery today, yes there were items they didnt have and the odd substitution but I'm not going to whinge about it. I know you're talking about Asda but if you're not happy, you could try somewhere else. I'm grateful for all the supermarket staff are doing.
  • I have had more things missing than it says on the email receipt, and of course more subs than usual, but it's all correct on the website order update.
Apart from once, where I ordered southern fried breadcrumbs and it got subbed for normal breadcrumbs and I also found a little tub of chicken seasoning when I was unpacking. They didn't mention that anywhere, but I thought it was a nice thing to do.  :)

Ultimately, it's a tough time and we all have to be understanding of slips in standards.
A lot of people, myself included, would be really in a pickle without them.

Not turning up at all is a bit different, but I think they've changed the amendment rule so you have to checkout or manually cancel the amendment, otherwise they won't deliver. I think it used to be that they'd deliver the last amendment, so maybe people are getting caught out by that. Could be totally wrong with all of that though.  :p
