It will go through Monday, as they don't credit payments on Weekend days. This is based on it being a faster payment, as you have stated.

If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

They are working everyday at the moment, with many staff drafted in to help from elsewhere within Civil Service.  So they may have forgotten it was a Saturday when telling you what they did.

Their systems don't enable payments to be processed at weekends.
Payment should be in your account by about 8am on Monday.

  • I applied for universal credit and have been awaiting my statement to see how much I was entitled to, I applied for an advance as it said I could and I’ve received that payment.

However my statement has now come through and says I’m entitled to £0. How can the give me an advance if I’m not entitled to anything?

    Any help would be appreciated

The advance is calculated on your maximum entitlement. If you have now received some earnings within the assessment period that may have cancelled out your entitlement for this month. Did you receive a payment from your employer after you made the claim? What does your statement show?
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
