NEFF Ceramic Hob - Replacing a heating element

Hello

I have a NEFF ceramic hob fitted into a kitchen work surface. One of the heating elements has packed up. If this was a standalone cooker access to the element would be by undoing some screws and lifting the ceramic top. But how do I get access to the heating elements on a fitted hob? Do I need to remove the hob from the work surface, or is there perhaps a way to do the job from underneath with it still fitted?

Thanks

It'll be far easier to repair when removed from the work surface.

Depending on the exact Neff hob it may well just clip into 'rails' screwed or glued on two of the cutout edges.   Google the model number for fitting instructions and work out how to reverse the process.  You may need to remove a drawer or another appliance to access the bottom to aid its removal by pushing it upwards?

My 80cm Neff hob in a granite worktop was "fixed" in the worktop by gravity and a rubber sealing gasket.

Remember to isolate the mains supply to it before you start.
