Frozen account and card

I am a customer of Lloyd's Bank. My salary goes direct to bank and is my only source to access money and pay bill's. In mid March 2020 my bank card was not operational. I phoned Lloyd's to be informed that they had frozen my account and could give no explanation. Numerous phone calls elicidated the same response. It is now mid April and I have no money and I am desperate. I am behind on many bill payments. I have absolutely no idea why my account was frozen. I would gladly discuss my account details with bank but am met with a brick wall. Covid19 has compounded my difficulties. At this stage I have no money to buy food. I am desperate.

Until this is sorted out, you might open an account elsewhere and send your salary there.

A potential problem with that is if Lloyds has put a fraud marker on the account this might impede opening accounts anywhere, so I suggest the first thing to do is get the free credit file records and see if there is anything to note.

I'd also be trying hard to get to the complaints team at Lloyds, or visit a branch (take proof of identity, in case).

Have you had any unusual transfers in or out of your account in recent weeks? Things that may be legitimate - but not your normal pattern of income/expenditure?
