Forum still not up and running properly?!

I joined Loquax when I first started comping, but I couldn't get to grip with it. I found MSE far more user friendly, (And made some friends!) so I've been MSE exclusive pretty much the whole time I've been comping.
Fast forward to now. All that user-friendliness seems to have gone. However, I persevered, using the search each day, then just when I was getting to grips, search stopped working for all recently posted comps for over a week.  After a few days of no action being taken to resolve, I went back for another look at Loquax.  Apparently they had a major rebuild a few years back and it's made a huge difference.  I tend to use the one-day only comps first, then go to closing soon at the top and the comps appear for each day.  The big bonus for me is that I can get ahead as once you've clicked entered or ignored, the comp disappears from the list.  Here, you still have to open each thread to check.
I'd say have a play. You've nothing to lose. 
(But as you can see, I keep returning to see if they've made any progress on fixing the glitches, but no...    )

Agree with you all- this new layout is rubbish. Apart from Loquax do you have any other competition sites you recommend? I loved the old style mse site and never looked anywhere else.

I completely agree, this was a great forum and I think majority of us have tried to get used to this new layout, patiently waiting for updates and to add back much loved and incredibly useful features since they changed the forum in January. I've spent hours and hours trying to get back up to date with all the comp posts because I have to open every single post to use the tick or cross boxes. It's become impossible to keep up, a few days of not doing so and I've got to go through several pages worth. I would love to help out the guys who run the forum when I can and help add the features we all know and love. And another feature which would be amazing to have is a tag system so we can filter the competitions (like pretty much all the other comp websites have) so if you don't have a facebook/twitter/instagram you can filter these out. I do love using this forum, I've been using it for about 2 years now and it's sad to see what it's become. Plus it's hard not to notice how rude some people are on here, not very welcoming of newbies either.

This never used to be the case. If folk were rude or mean, they were usually jumped on quite quickly or others would post in defence of the person being "Got at."  A strong sense of fair play was the code for this board and generally there was less sniping that on some of the other boards.   We even had a "Be kind / I'm a newbie" badge for them, but that's gone too.
