Annual insurance renewal claim

Hi
My annual travel insurance policy with MoreThan is due for renewal next week.
However they are no longer offering new or renewing travel policies (maybe all other insurers are the same)
Anyway, I'm due to travel to Italy on 24th May. This is a Flight+Hotel package from LastMinute - it has not (yet?) been cancelled
With the indefinite no travel guidance would I be able to claim on this policy?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, I probably can't claim but just checking
Thanks

I'll try calling them today0

Just spoke to someone - apparently I would be covered under the current policy if the holiday is cancelled (by the provider) even after the policy expires. Both my policy and holiday were purchased prior to the "known event"
Hopefully that is of use to someone1 -
I’m in the same situation but travel in August. Did you get a refund?0

No, but not because the policy had expired. Instead it was refused because the hotel had offered vouchers - therefore an alternative has been offered, which according to the insurance I have to accept.0
