im sorry if this in the wrong place but i need a little bit of help i rang up to cancel my sky on the 27 of october this year and gave my 30 days notice so everything was ok
untill i got a letter today saying beacuse i have 1 day left on my contract and i ended my contract early (omg 1 day :eek:) that they are charging me £120 for beeing 1 day out of my contract :mad:
when i rang up to cancel the man said everything was ok and would be cancel
now when i rang them today they said i had to pay £120 or face bailifs i have always paid my bills on time never been late with ANY bills
if someone has any advice i would be so greatful
and i so sorry if it doesnt make sence :huh: im trying to type as im saying it in my head

Is there no way that you can reinstate the contract. And then cancel it in a couple of weeks time. You will probs have to pay another month's bill but will deffo be cheaper than £120. Out of interest did you not ask them to action it when your contract was due to expire, that's what I usually do.0

Personally I would be inclined to explain that there has been a misunderstanding and the cancellation was meant to coincide with the end of the contract. However also try to dig out the original contract and look for the exact wording and date on which the contract started.
Sky can be quite nasty and I would like to have faith in our judicial system to throw such triviality out (however find it hard to).
