because she wanted to spend them on something she wants rather than a crappy day out go-karting or something equally as bad??

mmmmm each to their own, but if you look in the deals booklet there are many more things available than "a crappy day out"

This is a money savingsite and spending £264 to get something that costs £66 goes against everything this site is about.

In Martins words "Never spend vouchers instore"

but surely its a false economy to spend the vouchers on something not wanted just for the sake of it, then have to fork out real cash to buy the item she does want?

has anyone ever used the wide remingtons? they are the only other brand with wide plates and with my crystal tips hair i need the wide plates. :o

I haven't used the Remingtons, but I have got some wide T3 tourmaline straighteners. They're not cheap, in fact they're normally more expensive than GHD's, but my hair's the one thing I won't risk just to save some pennies. It's very long and thick and the T3s whizz through them and don't seem to be as damaging as GHDs. My hairdresser always comments on how healthy my hair is, and the temperature is adjustable on the T3s.
