i have just had a thought about teh wide plate ghds. i dont think tesco are going to get them back in stock as they are the old ghds not the mark 4 ones.

The wide mark 4s have the timer etc... the tesco ones dont, so i think they were probably selling off old stock. im sad i so wanted these for christmas, but i am loathed to pay £100.

i would of been happy with the old ones for £64 and saved a few pennies.

has anyone ever used the wide remingtons? they are the only other brand with wide plates and with my crystal tips hair i need the wide plates. :o

    any help gratefully received.

Hi, I've never actually used the Remingtons as two years ago, I bought a pair of wide GHD's. I have naturally curly hair - unlike my sister who has perfectly straight hair - so unfair. Prior to buying my GHD's i owned so many pairs of straighteners which claimed to make your hair perfectly straight - their idea of straight and my idea of straight wasn't the same.

Anyway after much debating I bought the wide GHD's and I swear it is the best £90.00 I have ever spent. I have used them every single day since. They are great. Unlike other cheaper ones styling products don't stick to them and they just glide through your hair.

They might be expensive but they will last and save you buying another pair a few months done the line.

Hope this helps :rudolf: :xmassmile :rudolf: :xmassmile :rudolf: :xmassmile :rudolf: :xmassmile

    But why ???

because I still have lots of vouchers (£200) left to convert to deals and I am moving house in 2 weeks time and did not have a 'spare' £66 pounds to throw away on straighteners!

I usually convert to deals- honest!!

Went to pick mine up yesterday....no joy and today.....no joy.

The girl at Tesco rang Tesco Direct who stated that my order couldn't be honoured as they had ran out of stock!!!!!

I had received no phone call or money back or email notification. When the Tesco assistant queried why nobody had had the courtesy to ring me to explain...saving me 2 wasted journeys, the Tesco Direct guy said that they had to contact over 3000 customers and were working their way through the list!

I said that I still wanted the GHD's at the price given and paid for so Tesco Direct said to 'keep an eye out for more stock coming in, give them a ring if so and then they would honour the deal'.

I complained to customer services and they passed on my complaint to their management.

    But why ???

because she wanted to spend them on something she wants rather than a crappy day out go-karting or something equally as bad??
