Baxi boiler not covered as wrong position

Hi. I had a baxi boiler installed in February by independent installer. It's not working so I contacted baxi and someone came out. But he said it's not covered by the warranty because it's on back wall of airing cupboard with the tank in front.
I've left a message with the installer but I'm not hopeful that he'll respond. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Check that your installer was Gassafe  registered.

If not why did you use them and you will need to find a registered engineer to rectify the problem.
Getting any money back from the installer may be difficult if they were not registered.  If they claimed to be registered then you should have a good small claims case.

If it was installed in February then it's down to the installer to sort it out, direct to  Baxi should have been your last resort rather than your first.

So go straight back onto him and request that he sorts it out and also explains why the boiler is installed incorrectly.

As others have said, the installer should have been Gas Safe registered, you should have all the documentation to show that he was and that the boiler was installed correctly and registered with Baxi. You are also covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 ( https://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/consumer-rights-act ) and as a last resort there is your local trading standards department.
If you paid by credit card you can also get them involved, so you've got plenty of opportunity to try and sort it out but go back to him first.
