Seansonal worker

I am a student so therefore am classed as a seasonal worker at Mcdonalds which means i don’t have a set availability and work when ever i can. My employer has offered the furlough scheme which relies on the average wage of the past 12 weeks. We have recently been told that seasonal workers can’t be put onto this scheme, even though i have worked very regularly over the past 12 weeks. Is this true?
