Car been stood- brake issue

A person i know has had their car stood for around 2 months. Upon driving it again the brakes seem to be 'stuck' or slightly 'grinding'. Is there anything that can be done for the brakes to return to normal?

If it was parked with the handbrake on, the (rear) brakes may have been seized & released, only when the car was driven.

By gentle applying the handbrake verrrrrrrrry slightly, this will clean things up, removing any light corrossion, which may have built up.

More likely, the FRONT discs have some surface corrosion build up. Again, gentle application of the footbrake will cure this, as you drive slowly!

If the grinding is persistent, maybe some grit is stuck between disc/pads on the front.

If you're uncertain, most FastFit places do free brake checks, so not worth taking any risks!!

Let them check it for you!!

My car does this after standing for a day or two, but it is soon cleared after a few (gentle) applications of the the brakes. Funny thing is, it confuses the anti-lock brakes no end, and many a time I've had a semi-scary moment at the end of our road...
