Self employed eligibility if going into PAYE short term employment during lockdown

Hi. First post here and was hoping for a little clarity on this. I am currently self employed and as it stands I am in full eligibility for the Governments SSIES scheme. I have three+ years accounts, all up to date, with more than 50% earning coming from self employment. Currently under £50,000 Per annum. I have read that the self employed can continue working without this affecting the eligibility of receiving SSIES. However, I am considering taking a short term PAYE position for the duration of the three months the Gov has currently allowed for SSIES and was wondering if this may affect my eligibility for the 80% negatively?

It won't affect any grant that you will receive.

There's nothing in the guidance to suggest you can't take on a second job PAYE, and much to suggest you can.

It should be a 'second' job though as you must meet all the criteria for the SEISS which include that you would still be trading but for COVID 19 and also that you intend to continue trading in 20/21.
