Additional payments

I made additional payment on my holiday if I was to cancel my holiday I would lose the deposit which ok if I choose to cancel but they will also keep the additional payments as well. They said it’s in there terms which it is. I’m quite glad I didn’t make monthly instalments as I would be completely out of pocket. Can the company keep the additional payments? balance is not due until May. They offered to reschedule but at a further cost of 3k for the same holiday. So rescheduling will not work so I can’t cancel and lose just the deposit which is 1000 as I will lose nearly 4500. If our holiday is cancelled by them I will just receive a credit note and I will not be able to request a cash refund. What other options do I have

Wait for them to cancel , accept the ABTA backed RCN vouchers which have a 12 month validity. At the end of 12 months you have the option to get cash back.

They have said and made it clear we will not be getting a cash refund. I feel like we have no way out all I want is to reschedule the holiday I don’t mind having to pay a little extra but not 3k for the same holiday. We even stripped the holiday back to a much cheaper hotel took things out but they still found a way of rocketing the prices and it turned out over 4k more we asked how can a cheaper holiday be more they said we have charges to add.0

Lesson for future: never give a travel company more than you need to. If you have money spare, put it in a savinge account and then just pay the full balance in one go on the due date.0
