cooking a leg of lamb and storing it

I bought a 2kg leg of lamb for myself a few days ago. I put oil on it then rubbed in some herbs then wrapped in foil. Is there a better way to season it? I cooked it for 2 hrs 20 mins, taking foil off for last one hour. It tasted delicious, but near the insides and near the bone a bit red, is that ok? Did I need to cook it longer. I left it for an hour and half to cool down wrapped in foil to keep it moist but it was still hot but put in fridge anyway. Does it half to be cold before put it in the fridge?
I kept it on a plate for 3 or 4 days after cooking. Today it smelt a bit like cat food if you sniffed closely, does mean it's gone off? I ate my last bit heated up in microwave then chucked the rest.

I wouldn't use foil during cooking and it's fine if it's a bit pink, particularly near the bone. You should never put hot food in the fridge, not only does it increase the temp in the fridge but it will allow bacteria to grow. Finally, 4 days is pushing it.0

The type of questions you are asking are more suited to a cookery forum than a money saving one. I would recommend an internet search and join one.

Probaby better off posting in the old style forum with your cooking questions.Put it in the fridge when it's cool, it'll keep for a few days depending on how cold your fridge is. If it smells bad, it is bad. Lamb has a smell of it's own anyway so it's hard to answer your question. And there's no harm in cooking with foil over it.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi1
