I'm lucky that I live out in the countryside and there are a number of farms locally that will require help at some point.  Not only am I going to get my two sons involved, but I'll also look to work myself given my IT contracting career is currently on hold due to lack of work.  The pay will be peanuts but it will help a little given our household currently has no income and 4 adults to feed.
    Go Milleniumaire family 'Land Army'!!

Yes: peanuts for a professional, but credit to you for seeking to lead by example, rolling your sleeves up. Contributing to the UK economy, affordable food and healthy eating is so important. Look how we now notice and value our keyworkers, many are 'supposedly' unskilled.

My post reads as cheesy and trite .... so be it. I am sincere in my deep respect for your attitude.

it’s odd isn’t it really, those jobs that we value the most at the moment are some that were thought of as low skilled & valued at minimum wage before.

hopefully when this is all over we’ll respect all those jobs, not just the NHS, the rest of the public sector, the farmers, supermarket staff, food manufacturers, care home workers etc a bit more.

Unlikely, also amused me that the so called skilled jobs that are unable to continue when everybody stays indoors for a few days.
