Can my partner be furloughed if we are struggling with child care?

Do you mean morally or legally?HnuterBrice said:I so my question still stands, should her company be doing more to help and furlough her if there are no other child care options?
Morally? - its a matter of opinion and mine/yours/anyone else' is irrelevant.
Legally? - No. They've done what they need to legally, and now you have some difficult choices to make.0 -
No offence OP but if your wife is parttime what is wrong with her using evenings/weekends (which is what I presume you mean by unsociable) to fit her hours in? Having the flexibility to do that is in itself significant. I know plenty having to fit in full time largely day time hours along with childcare. These are exceptional circumstances which won't last for ever. Even in normal times plenty of couples work opposing times to juggle childcare. Sorry I'm not really getting this one as an employer problem.
