DATA BREACH COMPENSATION CLAIMS

Has anyone been successful? British Airways, ticketmaster and equifax are three big ones over the last two years.

Astonishing i have had 3 in the last 3 months!
Virgin, 118 Money and Loqbox have all emailed me to say they have had a breach and my personal details have been hacked! I am seriously considering a data breach claim, its just a farce.

Ive been approached by a few lawyers keen for this -nowin no fee type. I am considering using one them to do everything for me. 25% they keep, but i dont have time to chase and do all the legwork for this. Plus, i can assume alot of people will be claiming so its hardly going to be a massive amount of money. Loqbox will be going out of business with their claims. 118 money and Virgin have healthy profits so could be decent money from them

Yes i have double checked the T and C. A few companies sneakily added that 25% was their 'fee' and they would be taking solicitors costs, admin etc on top. They was all in the small print. I got rid of those companies. The ones that stuck at 25% i made sure to get that in writing on email as double clarification.

To be honest, i would rather this data breach not happened to me then starting a claim. I mean what are the chances of 3 companies having a data breach in all in the same month and all have my personal details!!! First time its happened to me in my life and i get 3 on the trot.

Maybe also look into investing in a caps lock button while your at it.
Maybe Lloyds, Halifax and BOS CC departments could help you with that
