Replacing laptop dvd drive

Hi all,
I'm trying to replace a temperamental laptop dvd writer with a new one, but am having problems.
I've removed the old drive and taken off the faceplate which is specific to the laptop shape (so I'll need to fit this on a new drive).
Now where can I find a laptop dvd writer with a removable face plate???
Any ideas?
