First Time Pressure Washer?

Can anybody recommend what i need to look for get a pressure washer for the first time!
I want it to clean my block paving mainly and possibly the car, i did get a Bo*ch Aquatek version which was broken and so Amaz*n refunded me, i don't even know what connectors i would need to fit it to my outside tap, the neighbour has a small yellow one which brings her block paving up really clean but there are so many to choose from i don't know where to start.
Enjoy everyday like it's your last!

Karcher are certainly the best known and I've used them for years.  My previous one had lost oomph over the past couple of years so I have got a new one.  The oddly named T Racer is the enclosed brush attachment for cleaning drives, patios etc.  The design minimises the overspray.

We have had the K2 Karcher for years and has been fine for cleaning the patio every year. We have a few attachments with it too which are useful, like this

I'd normally recommend Nilfisk over Karcher but in my experience the Karcher has the better patio cleaning tool.

I was a alko fan and one for about 12 years tll the lance broke  so went for nilfisk who took them over but the first one only lasted a year so forked out for upgraded one and that only lasted 3 years so I've changed track and gone for a karcher k4 which I really like   depends on the size of patio/drive but go for what you can afford.  I got mine on a deal of the day at screwfix included lots of extras and as neilmcl says the patio cleaner is much better than the nilfisk one

We've got a Karcher K2 which does the job nicely. Had we purchased ourselves we would've gone for a K4, but this was a freebie from a relative so can't complain. There always seem to be offers about, at least.
