I am using Outlook 2007 for my emails, but am having trouble when sending an attachment to people.
The emails seems to get stuck in my Outbox and shows as unsent, but infact the email is sending over over again
.
I want to save all my emails in our inbox's and all email contacts.
Can somebody tell me how its done please.
Cheers

How big are the attachments?0
-
Various sizes, from 1mb upwards.
When they are say 5mb, I get an error appear and nothing is sent.Never buy a stupid dwarf -

I think, then, that may be your problem,
Try to keep them under 1 Mb0 -
What anti virus program are you using? You will need the correct plug-in to be used in conjunction.
Secondly what extension are the attachments?0 -
The extensions that fail have all been Mpeg.
I use Bit Defender (free edition) as my anti virus. Is this a problem ?
Originally I was sending some files (RAW images) between 8 and 10 mb's.
I didn't have any trouble when using Outlook Express before updating to Outlook.
I have since removed Oulook and starting using Outlook Express again. I don't think large mpeg files are constantly sending now, but they are now timing out and failing to send.
Thanks in advance for any advice.Never buy a stupid dwarf -

Most ISPs will not allow files above 1Mb
you might want to get yourself a google mail address, which allows up to 20Mb attachments0 -
I have a Gmail account already.
My problem is with Outlook Express. Like I previously said, I had no trouble sending any attachment upto 10 mb.Never buy a stupid dwarf -

Open outlook Express
On the Tools menu, click Accounts.
On either the Mail or News tab, click Properties.
On the Advanced tab, select the Break apart messages larger than x KB check box and then enter the maximum file size the server will allow, which appears to be 10 Mb in your case
the recipient may not be able to receive it, which is a distinct possibility
Why not host it on a big files host like sendbigfiles then all you have to do is send a link, so much easier0 -
I have done that. Will let you know how it goes.Never buy a stupid dwarf -
