Another PayPal Credit rant - this time about the so-called payment holiday

It would seem that PayPal Credit are finally offering a 3 month payment holiday, however it is not automatic - you have to contact them. The problem is that you can't get hold of them as the phone number has been removed and the only option is messaging them. The PayPal virtual agent response is:
My bank has automatically saved me having to contact them. Why can't PayPal Credit do the same?

I can transfer this conversation to an agent. The estimated response time is a few hours.
Our customer service staffing is limited due to the coronavirus (covid-19) crisis. We've put together some useful information in the Help Center to quickly resolve your issue. I'll stay here while you take a look.
After I transfer the conversation, you can close the window and come back to it when it’s convenient for you. When we respond, we’ll send you a notification with a link to the Message Center where you can reply.

Because they’re not a bank?
And they’re not obliged to offer payment holidays at all so be grateful they’re offering it in some way shape or form0 -
On their website it does say that Paypal will have a form that we can fill out requesting the holiday payment without needing to contact them. But its been saying this for nearly a week now.
Also can i clarify that the payment holidays have been imposed by the FCA and is not only to do with goodwill from the banks/credit providers.
Paypal does go further than other banks and in that they explicitly say that they wont charge interest during the 3 months holiday payment. I cant see any other bank doing that.

To be fair I found their number on a forum and someone from PayPal answered. It was the lack of a number on the “Contact Us” section that worried me and what the Virtual Agent had said. Confidence restored!0

I don’t think being “stinking rich” has anything to do with it.
I think having a bit of money-sense and savings/emergency funds is more of what you were trying to imply, no?1
