Morning
Gorgeous start to the day but is a bit parky out there
Back to sticking to some plans again today nothing major as there is nothing much to plan at the moment but total sloth mode really doesn't suit me in fact it really depresses me although I have achieved a whole series of Killing Eve in a day or so
So note book is back out and the plans are back on ....boring ones I grant you but it strangely pleases me
Success this morning securing mum a slot with Asda at the end of April so thats another month she won't starve. There were loads of slots to be honest more than Ive seen in weeks and pretty late on for me too so maybe this is easing fingers crossed. I wonder if I can put this full time job on my CV for future workShe had her first Asda delivery this week and for someone so adamant Morrisons are the only ones she liked she did pretty well in fact apparently their pork pies are much nicer than Morries lol mmmm thats because it was a melton mowbury one ma.....maybe change is possible even at 89
Clapping was better here last night more people are emerging which is great
Candy lovely to see you back in the fold you were missed
Ruby glad yesterday went OK we will all be with you on Monday in thought if not body xx blue poop will be interesting!
Thinking of everyone going through it right now which lets face it is everyone
Stay sane and keep smiling

Oh Gers! I can beat you hollow on the matter of bags. I think I have enough bags for life to equip 200 future centarians.
And that's not counting Hessian bags, cloth bags, leather bags, bags made out of old jeans, knitted bags............
I've not only my own but those inherited from my father and left behind by my DIL and things given me in bags too good to throw away. I think I will have to start gradually feeding them into the bins. I offered them to a charity shop, but they were inundated at the time. I must try a few more.Yep - you win!The one bag in constant use is the one CAMELOT made and gave me about two years ago.
Been out and back now. Another successful and quiet trip. Whizzed round M&S whilst managing to avoid most people. On the way back I stopped at the gazebo shop for Italian bread and a coffee. There was a couple there with the most adorable puppy a week cockapoo - miniature poodle mix. Just gorgeous. The pharmacy next door had a supply of hand sanitiser made in a gin distillery so I bought a wee bottle to keep in the car. I've given up wearing gloves as they really don't help, hand washing is key.The sun bursts out for brief moments before the clouds take over again. Still, it's not raining which is always a bonus. So far my fractured tooth is not causing me any problems though I am concerned about waiting so long for a repair. I keep brushing my teeth, flossing and using mouthwash too.REDRUBY - I'm so glad that your op is going ahead, albeit with constraints. Can you Facetime or WhatsApp video call from the waiting area?

Morning all, I too had a rubbish night. Lots of worrying about the blummin shopping debacle of yesterday.......... so stupid of me to worry about that. However Mr Fix It sorted the shopping problem early this morning, whatever it was, and we now have a delivery for May 7th, a day later than the one booked yesterday. Possibly Morries having website issues. Don't know what goods will turn up, it's in the hands of the shopping gods now !Got up late so will be doing probably zero housework today as I will be on catch up all day and at present I cba. Mr Fix it has asked for a hair cut and beard trim........ well he is beginning to look like Santa again and it's much too early for thatI have to make a loaf today and I want to finish my book too and that's about all folks. I would love to have a nanna nap but it just never happens unless I'm ill. Probably I'm too nosy and think I would miss something !Snoozer Aww poor little mite. I hope Laura can get Esben some relief soon.Candygirl Hi !! Sorry to read about your doggy family. We haven't been in a shop since the first week of March and I expect we'll all find it strange when they let us out.Redruby I'm sorry you will be on your own next week. I'm free if you want me to sit beside you, virtually I mean.TA sorry you had a bad night too. I fear it may have been my fault for wittering on at you. I'll send the Sandman out tonight.Nelski no paint chart challenge today as the weather has gone down hill fast. We haven't seen any free slots for Asda or Tesco for weeks and I'm not fussed on Morries, but needs must.Right I suppose I'd better get dressed as I'm still in my dressing gown, but I don't care today, no-one is coming to see me !Take care all and hugs to all.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently14

Morning everyone
Dull and cloudy here this morning and quite chilly. Forecast does say 'sunny intervals' so we'll see,
I was out just after 8.30 to walk down to Asda - needed some bits for both my mum and myself. In and out fairly quickly, found it to be very well organised. Walked back to mam's house and dropped her stuff off and had a chat and waved and blew kisses to dad through the window. Then walked up the hill home again for a nice cuppa.
Was hoping to do some more weed pulling but I'm a fair weather gardener and need sunshine so that can wait! I'll do some more 'pottering' in the house instead
Hope everyone has a good day

Morning all! Apparently I had another restless night [ I don't remember] with lots of tossing and turning and talking in my sleep. I haven't done that for over twenty years, the last time was when I was very emotionally see-sawing. I don't think I'm stressed but maybe I am and I don't know it. Which is weird. Anway, the sun is definitely not shining today but hopefully it'll rain and fill my water butt and give the plants a drink.I'm enjoying watching Jamie and have tried a few different things, the meatloaf so far is the biggest hit, I'll give something else a go next week. I also found a whole series of Escape to the Chateau DIY which I haven't seen [ how did I miss that?!] so that's my afternoon viewing sorted. I managed [finally!] to get the rivets out of the fork and the wood, which involved, drilling, sawing and chiselling and the angle grinder...Next time I'll just set fire to it. Got two more rivets to put in today and then it's done. When I took the old rivets out they were bent inside and I thought, how did that happen? And after trying to peen over the top of the new one I can see why. It is harder than a very hard thing that's been hardened by the cunningest fox.So after my very boring recitation of yesterdays events todays events include getting stuff ready to pot on the tomatoes tomorrow, sorting the seeds to see what's going in next, getting paperwork ready to tax the car, phoning the council in Wales to sort out the council tax there [ engaged all day yesterday] , and mentally designing something for the sink out the back to sit on so I have somewhere to wash veg. It's not going to be brilliant, but I have two old barley twist leg chairs that could serve as a base along with half a table top I aquired [ ahem!] and a handy bucket to put underneath. No point wasting any of the water...I also donated two folding pallet collars to a friend who's just got an allotment so another two justins have gone...Well done to you lot who have scored SM deliveries. I'm still waiting [but there's no immediate rush yet]. Ruby, the time will fly, take a book in. You can also ask for water to sip, I found I had a very dry mouth because you're not allowed to eat/drink are you...Nelski, no, green is not the best colour for it.[I know you're joking but I still worry
] ...Gers, congrats on the getting out and about and excercise still! Monna, ahh...you are a secret ironing lover....Enjoy! You'll be temporarily ejected from the sloth club though..Although tea and cake will probably restore you to it...Molly, it''s odd. I kind of have periods where I totally forget the danger, then I'm reminded when we get post or a delivery and I look at that parcel or letter like it's radioactive and wish I could touch it with tongs. I hope your fears prove groundless. Hey Candygirl
Hey all reading along, hope you're ok...Finishing off little jobs Friday!
