This is my first query so apologies if this isnt done correctly. I returned an order back to JD Sports using Collectplus as suggested on their returns page and followed the returns process to print off the label on the JD returns page. The parcel was dropped off but after the initial scan suggesting the parcel was received at the drop off point there are no further scans on the parcel since the 20/03/20. I contacted Collectplus who asked that JD contact them to resolve this issue but JD are saying this is an issue between me and Collectplus and they can’t get involved. Can anyone suggest what I can do from here? JD on 3 occasions refused to get involved and Collectplus are saying they can only deal with the retailer.

If JD supplied the returns label then JD have contracted with CollectPlus ... you merely transported the correctly-labelled goods to the collection point. CP are right, JD are wrong ... it is for JD to resolve with CP, not you, as you have no contract with CP.

    (5) If the contract is a sales contract and the trader has not offered to collect the goods, the time is the end of 14 days after—

(a)the day on which the trader receives the goods back, or

(b)if earlier, the day on which the consumer supplies evidence of having sent the goods back.

OP you can send them the above information along with proof of sending the goods to the appropriate address and request they refund within 14 days of that message.

If they fail to refund then generally it's a letter before action followed by small claims. They will likely refund before you have to start small claims but if they don't I believe you have 6 years to claim so can do so when life is a bit more normal.

The above assumes you are excising your right to cancel within the determined time-frame.

Depending upon how you paid, your card provider may assist as well.

We take it the the pick up location is open, given last scan you stated was 20/03 3 days before lockdown.
