If JD supplied the returns label then JD have contracted with CollectPlus ... you merely transported the correctly-labelled goods to the collection point. CP are right, JD are wrong ... it is for JD to resolve with CP, not you, as you have no contract with CP.0

(5) If the contract is a sales contract and the trader has not offered to collect the goods, the time is the end of 14 days after—
(a)the day on which the trader receives the goods back, or
(b)if earlier, the day on which the consumer supplies evidence of having sent the goods back.
OP you can send them the above information along with proof of sending the goods to the appropriate address and request they refund within 14 days of that message.
If they fail to refund then generally it's a letter before action followed by small claims. They will likely refund before you have to start small claims but if they don't I believe you have 6 years to claim so can do so when life is a bit more normal.
The above assumes you are excising your right to cancel within the determined time-frame.
Depending upon how you paid, your card provider may assist as well.
